Founder ATX Cremation, Funeral Director and Crematory Operator

Jason has been a funeral director since 1994. He founded Frontier Cremations in 2008, became a co-partner at the Harrell Funeral Homes in 2012, purchased Angel Funeral Home in 2017, and founded ATX Cremation in 2018.

Jason offices at Harrell Funeral Home in the South Austin location, and oversees operations for all cremation and funeral home locations including Austin, Kyle, and Dripping Springs.

Jason is a life-long resident of Austin graduating in 1994 with a degree in Mortuary Science. He was awarded Funeral Director of the year in 2018 by South Central Texas Funeral Directors Association (TFDA). He is a member of the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA); TFDA; International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association (ICCFA); Cremation Association North America (CANA), Selected Independent Funeral Homes; and Christian Life Church. Since entering the Funeral Industry, Jason has been active in TFDA by aiding on the Disaster Team and assisting the Legislative Committee.



He currently serves on their Board of Directors, fulfilling the Vice President position. He also is serving on the Board of Trustees for St. David’s South Austin Medical Center. He serves as an Assistant Scout Master for Boy Scouts of America (BSA), Troop 448, mentoring young men striving to achieve their Eagle Scout rank. He is a third generation Eagle Scout, and his son, Caleb, recently joined the ranks as an Eagle Scout and his son, Zac, is on track to complete his Eagle Scout this year.
